Orange U Jealous

Well I have definitely caught the summer bug and with temperatures finally getting into the 90's with lots of sunshine, I wanted something nice and bright.

This is 2 coats of an awesome neon orange by HD Ruby Kisses called Orange U Jealous. You should see how it glows in actual sun light! It is a gorgeous color especially for this season. This isn't a polish brand I am too familiar with but I found it at one of the local beauty supply stores on clearance so I figured "eh, Why not?" I then used a dotting tool to make a flower with a white polish by Sinful Colors called Snow Me White.

There's a bit of a glare on that from the top coat I used, which was Sally Hanson's in the red bottle because I couldn't find my Seche Vite.

Hope you like them! I keep getting a ton of compliments on this color.

Stamping fun!

I was in the mood for something springy today. I had just gotten a few new polishes I picked up from 5 Below and one of them looked perfect! I started with 2 coats of Hydrangea by Fresh Paint.

Without flash.

With flash.
I'd say the one with flash is probably the closest to how the actual color looks. Then you know me I couldn't leave it alone, so of course I had to add some stamping to it. I decided on something that I hoped would look a little bit like black lace. I used my black Konad stamping polish and my Bundle Monster plate #BM207.

It turned out OK, although now that I am looking at it , I think it kind of looks like tire marks now LOL What do you guys think?

Pedicure Party!

TGIF!!!! I don't think I have ever quite been so happy for a Friday to almost be over until today. Although, I have to work tomorrow so I'm not quite sure why. Maybe just because it's been an extremely busy week both at home and at work. I feel like I could sleep away the whole weekend. I did find some time to squeeze in some pedicures so I thought I would share them with you guys, since I didn't have any new manicures to add from this week.

This is 2 coats of Mr. Pedicure's red polish. I didn't see any name or number on the bottle. The flower is done with a dotting tool and white polish from Sinful Colors called Snow Me White. Then one coat of Seche Vite.

This is 2 coats of a turquoise by Kleancolor called Catch Me and the flowers are done with a dotting tool using Sinfuls Snow Me White. Then followed by a coat of Seche Vite for that awesome shine.

This is not a polish but the gel Rock star toes. I purchased this glitter from Maytheps in a pack. It is a light purplish pink. This is done by first filing the toenails to disrupt the smooth surface area. I then put down 1 coat of base gel and poured the gel directly on to each toe. Then it goes into the UV lamp for 2-3 minutes. Then I use manicure brush to get rid of any excess glitter that is not stuck on to the toe. Next I put on 1 coat Gel Top Coat and put it back in the UV lamp for another 2-3 minutes. Depending on the glitter, I sometimes have to put another layer of the top coat for smoothness. This is a little more time consuming than just painting your nails, but it seriously lasts for almost a whole month depending on how fast your nail grows.  The best part is that it does not get damaged or scrape off like a normal polish. If you haven't tried this already I highly recommend it. They look awesome!

This is another example of Rockstar Toe Nails. This one is Blue Ice. Can you guess who's feet these are?! LOL

A big thanks for all my foot models above!!!!

The Wonder Yellows

Walgreens was having a $0.99 sale on all their Wet n' Wild stuff when I went in the other day. You know I couldn't resist a peek at their polishes they had out and I found a beautiful yellow that I knew I didn't have anything like. It kind of reminded me of Sunshine and of course I loved the name, which reminded me of one of my favorite shows to watch on TV when I was younger, The Wonder Years! It's called The Wonder Yellows. Hmmmm maybe they'll come out with a Kevin Arnold or Winnie Cooper next. I would love that!

This is 2 coats of The Wonder Yellows on bare nails. With Seche Vite top coat.

Pretty right?! Then just for kicks I decided to try putting this gorgeous red glitter  polish from Kleancolor called Red Hot. I guess in my mind I was thinking it would look like red polka dots on the yellow, well that is not how it turned out at all... Definitely a fail LOL Thank goodness I only tried it on one nail as a accent. It turned orange, although this picture doesn't really caputre the color exactly. Think skittle orange, not a fan!!!

Neon Polka Dots Gradient

Hi bloggers! Today I have a wild manicure that is definitely not for the faint of heart. I was scoping out some other blogs and found an example of a polka dot gradient at  Polished Dezinez Addict that I wanted to try out. Hers must have really stuck in my head because I didn't even realize I picked pretty similar colors to try with it also until just now!

I started with a coat of a white polish by Sinful colors called Snow Me White. Then I did 2 coats of Sinful's neon green called Irish Green. It was too see through with out the white underneath even with 2 coats.

Then I taped off the diagonal and again did a coat of white. Otherwise the hot pink over the green just made it look kind of reddish and Christmas-y... Eww

Then I taped off again and did one coat of the neon Pink side using Funky Fingers Pop Artist. It wasn't as transparent at the green so 1 coat is all you need! Thank goodness because this was starting to get time consuming!

It was kind of annoying but I had to do all the dots in white first and then go back and do 2 coats for the green dots and one coat for the pink dots, all with my dotting tool! Whew! It came out cute and SUPER bright but man it was some work LOL Hope you like it! I know it brightened up my day!

April Showers Bring May Flowers

Since it's been pretty unseasonably warn in this area there are already some flowers starting to bloom. For this manicure I knew I wanted something with flowers but I wasn't quite sure what to do since I didn't really feel like nail stamping or having anything super busy. I stumbled across this beautiful photo on 123rf for inspiration.

This reminded me of some sticker foils I had purchased not too long ago from Maytheps for about $1. (I forgot to take the picture of these before I cut out the one I wanted to use that is blue and yellow, WHOOPSIE!)

Since I usually can't stand to have wraps on all my fingers I usually just do an accent nail with my ring finger. I then painted the rest of my nails with two coats of Sinful Colors in a muddy brown color called Nirvana.

I then put a clear UV Gel coat over the foil wrap because it seems to last a lot better than if I just use a top coat. That way i am way less likely to pick it off. It still seemed a bit flat so I added then put 1 coat of Kleancolor's Mud Pie Sparkle (it looks exactly as it is named LOL) and a coat of Seche Vite. It looks like it is a super dark brown in this photo but in real life it is a lot lighter because it looks so much more metallic. Now if only I could find an eye shadow in this exact shade I would be in heaven!

What do you think? I wish the flower was a bit bluer but besides that not too many complaints. Hope everyone is enjoying their beautiful May!
